They come in a set with enough aligners for two weeks. Each aligner is a little tighter than its predecessor because each one moves your teeth about 1/10 millimeters. Before you run out of the aligners in the set that you’re wearing, you will visit our dentist near Northlake, Tucker, GA.

They will examine and measure your teeth to ensure they moved into position. If they have, then you can go on the next set. However, if they didn’t move enough, then you will repeat that set. There are no additional charges for repeating sets of aligners.

How Long Do You Wear the Aligners?

Since each patient’s teeth are different, there is no set answer to this question. However, some people only need to wear the aligners for a few months if they have minor alignment issues, while some may wear them for more than a year for more moderate problems. People who have severe misalignment issues will still need to wear metal or ceramic braces.

After wearing the Invisalign® aligners to correct your teeth, you will then need to wear a retainer for about a year to make sure your teeth stay in position.
